May - 2014

Hi everybody! I know I haven't posted anything in a while but I have been pretty busy with school. Transitioning into high school has been a big challenge but with 5 weeks of school left, I think I'm starting to get used to it.

I recently played in the Red Shoes Billiards 9-Ball Tournament and it was very fun! I got to interact with Tom Karabatsos and I gained a lot of knowledge from many other very experienced players. I definitely enjoyed the experience and can't wait until I compete in one of their future tournaments.

Speaking of tournaments, I have also been doing a lot of preparation for the BEF's Junior Nationals 9 Ball tournament. Unfortunately, I'll be taking this year off from the event. I want to work on specific areas of my game where I don't feel 100%. I've been privileged enough to have an opportunity to work with an awesome instructor other than my dad. His name is Tor Lowry and he is awesome. He's been sharing his years of experience, knowledge, and insight with me and I can already see the difference in my game.

The next time I compete at the Junior Nationals, I'll be in the 15 - 18 Girls division, so I'm doing what I need to do to take my game to another level. So although I'm really bummed about missing this year's Junior Nationals event, I'm doing what I KNOW needs to be done so I can be as prepared as I can be for next year's event.
